Product Overview
The Luminys R52-16PA is a 16-channel NVR with 32MP (8K) recording support and 384 Mbps recording bandwidth. It features 16 built-in PoE ports (IEEE 802.3af/at), a 1U rack-mount form factor, and dual SATA HDD bays. The system supports H.265, H.264, H.264H, H.264B, and MJPEG compression formats.

Key Features
AI decoding supports up to 1CH 32MP, 2CH 16MP, 4CH 8MP, or 12CH 4MP (30 fps); without AI up to 16CH 4MP. Supports 1–16 channel live view and 16-channel playback. Outputs via HDMI (up to 4K) and VGA (up to 1080p). Includes analytics for motion detection, VCA, face recognition, LPR, and LumiSearch with metadata support. Provides USB, RS-232, alarm I/O, and audio I/O, plus ONVIF/RTSP compatibility with app support. NDAA and FCC certified.
Technical Context
Recorder-side analytics work alongside camera analytics for flexible AI deployment (motion detection, VCA, face recognition, LPR, LumiSearch). LumiSearch identifies targets using body shape, clothing color, and other attributes across recorded footage via reference images. LumiPower extends PoE transmission up to 3,000 ft (≈914 m), reducing the need for repeaters in large installations. AI On mode reduces bandwidth from 400 Mbps to 220 Mbps when analytics are active. Supports rack or desktop mounting.
