The GST-806A60 has the ability to lengthen the distance of stable Gigabit performance through a fiber optic cable. The unit offers media conversion between the 10/100/1000Base-T and 1000/LX interfaces.
Superior Management Functions
The GST-806A60 features Auto MDI/MDI-X on its TP port along with the DIP switch to permit functions such as auto-negotiation, force for fiber interface and Link Pass Through function. LLCF works alongside LLR to monitor network connections and to notify administrators issues with the media link.

Managing the converter requires Planet’s MC-1610MR/MC-1610MR48, a 19-inch Web Smart 16-Slots Media converter chassis from PlanetTechUSA.com to remotely monitor its status through the management-interface of the chassis.The unit can be monitored remotely and locally via the RS-232 console and web interface. The GST-806A60 offers media conversion between the 10/100/1000Base-T and 1000LX interfaces.
