The MC-1610MR from Planet technology includes room for 16 media converters. This single management system features a 19 inch rack and is created for businesses and enterprises. The MC-1610MR allows users to craft FTTx installation and can be utilized with media converters of the FST-8 , GST-7 and GST-8 from Planet Technology. The unit’s management features allows users to monitor the status of media converters and also allows for remote web configuration or local RS-232 console port configuration. Through the unit’s management interface, each converter displays a status.

Efficient and Continuous Operation

The MC-1610MR features a hot-swappable Redundant Power System (RPS) that is optional to ensure continual operation. The unit features a single 100~240V AC power supply unit and offer one spare power supply unit slot for optional 100~240V AC or DC -48V redundant power supply installation. The unit also showcases -48V DC power supply which makes the unit ideal for telecoms. Fiber-Optic Redundant Link – Error tolerance and redundancy backup of the link can be made even more stable to ensure better operation.

Flexibility and Extension

The MC-1610MR allows 16 converters to connect effectively in a single chassis. The unit features an independent power supply on each slot, which allows any unit to be hot-swappable. This prevents interruption and disruption to the unit. The media converter chassis houses media converters from Planet Technology and offer conversion between copper to FX, SX and LX optical model for distance from 220 meters and up to 120 kilometers.
