Long Distance High Power PoE and Gigabit Data Extension Solution
The POE-E201 extends the distance of Gigabit Ethernet Data and IEEE 802.3at / 802.3af Power over Ethernet over the standard 100m (328 ft.) CAT. 5/5e/6 UTP cable to 200m, 300m, 400m and up to a maximum of 500m.Many network applications such as IP cameras, PoE wireless access points and PoE IP Phones have become dependent on the power of PoE which simplifies their deployment, eliminating the need for additional power supplies.
802.3at Power
UTP cable specifications limit Ethernet functionality to 100 meters (328 ft.). The POE-E201 operates as a repeater that forwards both Gigabit Ethernet data and high power PoE power, extending the range of PoE installation. A single POE-E201 can increase the PoE range to 200m with a simple plug and play installation.Daisy-chaining multiple POE-E201s, gives network administrators the ability to triple and even quadruple the distance of a network link.The POE-E201 provides high PoE power that transmits Gigabit Ethernet data to long distances to support network applications such as wireless access points, IP-based surveillance or IP phones.
Plug-and-Play Configuration
The high power POE-E201 features a simple plug and play installation. The unit is deployed between a Power Source Equipment (PSE) and a Powered Device (PD). The POE-E201 offers a cost effective solution to quickly double the range of Ethernet from its standard 100 meters to 200 meters. This Gigabit high power PoE Extender consists of 2 RJ-45 ports in a compact encasement. The “PoE OUT” interface operates as a power injector to transmit DC voltage into the Cat. 5/5e/6 cable to be able to simultaneously transfer data and power between the PSE and PD.
The POE-E201 is an innovative solution to lengthen the reach of ethernet above the standard 100 meters. This device features IEEE 802.3at / 802.3af PoE standard.
