A new member of the 802.3af PoE family, the FGSD-910P is an 8-port 10/100Mbps 802.3af Power over Ethernet switch capable of delivering up to 130W total power, which is an ideal solution for Fast Ethernet networking needs. Eight 802.3af PoE ports provide power to IEEE 802.3af compliant devices. The FGSD-910P also provides a simple, cost-effective and efficient solution for wired networks. It has a 12-inch compact metal housing, ideal for installation in a SOHO office.

Designed specifically for IP surveillance solutions, the FGSD-910P is described as a switch enabling quick and easy connection and power supply of a camera operating in the PoE standard. The FGSD-910P supports 802.3af PoE and also has 8 10/100Base-TX ports equipped with 15.4 watts 802.3af PoE and an additional 1 Gigabit port for fast transmission of video from surveillance cameras.

Unlike other industrial devices which usually have 12 or 24 ports, the FGSD-910P has 8 802.3af ports to support a small surveillance network, ensuring lower costs. The device allows for high performance and provides up to 130 watts of PoE power. For example, one FGSD-910P can be connected with one 8-channel NVR and 8 PoE IP cameras as a set for administrators to effectively manage the surveillance system in the local LAN and remotely over the Internet.

Stable and efficient architecture

The FGSD-910P's RJ-45 ports support 10/100Mbps Auto-Negotiation on Ports 1 to 8 and 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-Negotiation on Port 9 for optimal speed sensing via RJ-45 Category 6/ 5 or 5e cables. It also supports the Auto-MDI/MDI-X standard, which detects the type of connection to any Ethernet device without the need for special cabling.
