The Planet LRP-101U-KIT is a 1-port Long Reach PoE extender kit comprising the LRP-101UH injector and LRP-101UE extender, designed to extend both Ethernet data and PoE power over standard UTP cable up to 500 meters while delivering up to 25W to 802.3af/at powered devices. It utilizes IEEE 1901 Wavelet-OFDM modulation for robust long-distance transmission, features 128-bit AES encryption to secure the link.

The LRP-101U-KIT extends PoE and Ethernet over UTP cabling far beyond the 100m standard, reaching up to 500m with power output and up to 1000m for data-only transmission. The LRP-101UH injector connects to a PoE switch or direct DC input (48–56V), while the LRP-101UE extender receives the combined signal and provides standard 802.3af/at PoE output to the remote PD. Data rates scale with distance: ~100Mbps at 100m, down to ~30Mbps at 500m.
PoE output at the remote end delivers up to 30W at 100–300m and 18W at 500m, depending on input voltage and cable length. The long-reach link is secured with 128-bit AES encryption, and the system is plug-and-play with no configuration required. Each metal unit (94 × 70 × 26 mm, ~190g) supports wall-mounting or optional DIN-rail installation.
Both units operate from -20°C to 70°C with 5–95% RH and store from -40–75°C. The LRP-101UH features 4KV DC ESD and 2KV EFT protection. LEDs indicate PWR, LRP link, PoE input/usage, and LNK/ACT status. The kit is TAA compliant and carries FCC Part 15 Class A and CE certifications, requiring Cat5e or better UTP for the long-reach connection.
