The Planet LRP-101UH is a 1-port Long Reach PoE injector extending power and data over UTP cable up to 500m (1,640ft) when paired with LRP-101UE, delivering up to 25W PoE output to 802.3af/at PDs. It delivers symmetric upload/download rates of 94/94 Mbps at 100m and 30/30 Mbps at 500m using 1-pair UTP structures, such as Cat3/4 or legacy telephone wire. The hardware features 4KV DC ESD protection paired with a 2KV Electrical Fast Transient (EFT) defense rating.

Technical Context

Designed to act as the head-end master node, this device pairs across the line with a separate LRP-101UE remote extender. It accepts dual-source power inputs via an RJ45 connection from an upstream 802.3af/at switch or an external 48–56V DC line. When driven by a 56V input, it supplies a 30W PoE threshold between 100–300m, which drops to an 18W ceiling at 500m, or transitions into a data-only connection stretching up to 1000m.

Weighing 193g (0.43 lb) and measuring 94 × 70 × 26 mm, the compact metal housing supports wall mounting or optional DIN-rail deployment. It operates from -20°C to 70°C (5–95% non-condensing humidity) and tolerates storage environments from -40°C to 75°C.
