Product Overview

The Digital Watchdog DW-SPCP04LSC004 is a specialized 4-channel analog encoder license pack for the DW Spectrum® IPVMS platform. It is specifically designed to integrate existing analog infrastructure into a modern IP-based management system, allowing for the recording and management of up to four analog channels when paired with compatible encoders like the DW-ENHD16 or the Compressor™.

Key Configuration

  • • License quantity: 4 DW Spectrum analog encoder licenses
  • • Compatibility: DW-ENHD16 encoder (4-channel recording)
  • • License type: one-time charge, fully transferable between cameras and encoders
  • • Renewal: no annual maintenance fees, lifetime upgrades included
  • • Supported compression: H.265, H.264, MJPEG, MPEG4

Key Features

The software provides a robust Server Hive Architecture for synchronized data management and supports advanced client features like universal fisheye dewarping and an integrated Chromium browser. Users can leverage a powerful Event Rules Engine, text-to-speech notifications, and seamless integration with Control4® home automation. The system also includes a centralized Health Monitor, secure video export with custom watermarks, and a comprehensive audit trail for security oversight.

Technical Context

The system supports multiple recording modes, including Motion + Low Resolution, and offers specialized search tools such as Smart Motion Search and adaptive timelines. It is designed to scale significantly, supporting up to 100 servers and 10,000 resources per single system over a 1000 Mbps network connection. Management is simplified through IP camera auto-discovery, dual-stream recording, and direct camera image controls including 3D-DNR and WDR adjustments.

Installation Notes

This platform offers cross-platform versatility with server support for Windows and Linux, while the client software is compatible with Windows, Linux, and macOS. Minimum hardware requirements include an Intel Core i3 processor and 4GB of RAM, though an i5 with a dedicated graphics card and SSD is recommended for optimal performance. Mobile access is provided via iOS and Android apps, featuring real-time push notifications and low-latency streaming through DW Cloud™.
