Description

Product Overview

The Digital Watchdog DW-SPIOLSC001 is a single-channel license that enables the integration of IP I/O modules into the DW Spectrum® IPVMS platform. This license allows users to bridge physical security hardware, such as sensors, alarms, and relays, with their video management software. Following the standard DW Spectrum model, it includes lifetime upgrades and requires no annual renewal fees.

Key Configuration

  • • License quantity: 1 DW Spectrum I/O Module License
  • • License type: one-time charge, fully transferable
  • • Renewal: no annual maintenance fees, lifetime upgrades included
  • • Function: trigger system events, actions, and alerts via IP I/O modules
  • • Device discovery: automatic for compatible IP I/O modules

Key Features

Integration of an I/O module enables advanced event triggers for alarms, sensors, and other external devices. The system supports IP camera auto-discovery and features a powerful Server Hive Architecture for synchronized data across all servers. Users can take advantage of professional client features such as Smart Motion Search, an integrated Chromium browser, universal fisheye dewarping, and the Event Rules Engine for automated security responses.

Technical Context

This software is built on an open architecture with native cross-platform support for Windows, Linux, and Mac (client only). It is designed to be highly scalable, supporting systems from a single device up to 10,000 resources and 100 servers. The platform is ONVIF conformant and optimized for a 1000 Mbps network connection to handle enterprise-level data loads with ease.

Installation Notes

Server software is compatible with Windows and Ubuntu/Debian Linux, while the desktop client can run on Windows, Linux, and macOS. Minimum hardware requirements include an Intel Core i3 4th gen processor and 4GB of RAM, though an i5 with 8GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card is recommended for higher performance. Mobile oversight is provided via dedicated apps for iOS and Android, allowing for remote PTZ control and push notifications through DW Cloud™.
