The Digital Watchdog DWC-MV82DiVT is a 2.1MP/1080p MEGApix® low-profile vandal dome IP camera built for resilient indoor or outdoor surveillance. It features a 2.7~13.5mm manual varifocal lens, providing a wide horizontal field of view ranging from 89.6° to 27°. This NDAA/TAA compliant camera captures real-time video at 30 fps and is equipped with a CleanView™ hydrophobic coating that repels water, dust, and grease from the dome to maintain image clarity.

Key Features

This camera utilizes Smart IR to prevent foreground overexposure and a CleanView hydrophobic coating to repel debris and IR reflections. Image clarity is optimized via Digital WDR for mixed lighting and Smart DNR 3D noise reduction to eliminate ghosting. It includes a full suite of automated image settings, motion detection, and programmable privacy zones, along with a built-in SD card slot for edge storage. Fully ONVIF conformant, the unit integrates easily with major VMS platforms and is UL listed as well as NDAA/TAA compliant.

Technical Context

Equipped with a 1/2.9" CMOS sensor, the camera supports essential security protocols like HTTPS (TLS), 802.1x authentication, and IP filtering. It features electronic day/night switching, Smart DNR™ 3D noise reduction, and 16 programmable privacy masks. For backup, it includes a local SD card slot for edge recording. Power can be supplied via PoE (Max 6.2W) or 12VDC (Max 4.3W), ensuring efficient operation in various infrastructure setups.  

Installation Notes

The unit is housed in an aluminum die-cast ivory enclosure with a low-profile design measuring 4.9" in diameter and 3.6" in height. It operates in extreme temperatures from -4°F to 122°F and includes waterproof cabling for secure outdoor mounting. While mounting accessories are sold separately, the unit is backed by Digital Watchdog’s 5-year warranty.
