The SMEA-1P permits the connection of any ETS PM1 professional series microphone (or any other balanced 12/48v phantom powered or dynamic professional microphone) to be connected to the ‘microphone input’ or ‘audio input’ of a PoE IP camera without the need for an additional power supply. The SMEA-1P is placed in line with the camera’s CAT5/6 cable run and borrows a small amount of power from the PoE line to power up the interface and microphone. Supports both modes.
