Product Overview
The Hanwha PRN-1600B2 is a 16-channel 8K network video recorder supporting up to 32MP cameras with 250 Mbps recording and 64 Mbps playback. It uses H.265/H.264/MJPEG compression with WiseStream for efficient storage and bandwidth use. Key features include AI search (Best Shot/Attribute), license plate search, RAID 5/6 storage protection, and ARB automatic recovery backup, supporting both AI and select non-AI Hanwha cameras.

Technical Context
Supports IPv4/IPv6 and standard network protocols including RTSP, HTTPS, SNMP, ONVIF Profile S, and SUNAPI for integration. Security features include IP filtering, 802.1X authentication, encrypted communications, signed firmware, and device certificates (Hanwha root CA). Audio supports 16-channel network input with G.711/G.726/AAC compression, and external storage via iSCSI is supported. PTZ control is available through GUI, web viewer, or SPC-2000 controller with up to 300 presets. Compatible with Windows 10 and macOS (Chrome, Edge, Safari) via plugin-free web viewer.
Installation Notes
Black metal 16-channel NVR (438 × 86 × 434.9 mm, ~9.1 kg without HDDs) designed for rack installation. It operates from 0°C to 40°C with 20–85% humidity support. Power input is 100–240 VAC, with up to 205W consumption (with 8×10TB HDDs). The front panel includes status LEDs (HDD, alarm, power, record, backup, network, RAID), plus HDD key lock and reset button. No built-in PoE ports are included, so external PoE switches are required for camera connectivity.
