The ICS-2100T is an industrial serial-to-Ethernet converter that bridges RS232/422/485 devices to IP networks, enabling legacy equipment to communicate over Ethernet. It supports multiple operation modes, including TCP Server/Client, UDP Client, Virtual COM, RFC2217, Telnet Server, Pair Connection (Master/Slave), and Modbus converter (server/client), with Virtual COM mode creating virtual serial ports on Windows for seamless legacy application integration.
The unit features redundant power inputs (9–48V DC / 24V AC) with an alarm relay (1A @ 24V DC) for failover alerting, housed in an IP30 metal case (DIN-rail or wall-mount). It consumes 3–3.84W max, operates from -40°C to 75°C with 5–95% RH, and stores from -40 °C to 85°C, backed by 6KV ESD and 2KV surge protection. A DB9 male connector handles RS232, while a 4-pin terminal block supports RS422/RS-485.
Management options include Web, Telnet, VCOM Utility, SNMP v1/v2c, and UNI-NMS, with security via IP address filtering (up to 4 hosts/ranges). Virtual COM supports Windows XP/7/8/10 and Server 2003/2008/2012 (WinPcap required for Windows 8/Server 2012).
