Product Overview

The Planet GS-4210-8P2S is a managed Gigabit PoE+ switch with 8 × Gigabit PoE+ ports and 2 × SFP fiber uplink slots, providing a total PoE budget of up to 120W. It supports IPv4/IPv6 management, intelligent PoE features such as PD alive check, scheduled reboot, PoE scheduling, usage monitoring, and Extend mode up to 250 m, along with remote monitoring through PLANET CloudViewer NMS.

Key Configuration

• PoE: 8 × 802.3af/at PoE+ ports, up to 36W per port; 120W total budget (100W at 50°C)
• Ports: 8 × Gigabit RJ45, 2 × 100/1000BASE-X SFP uplinks with DDM support
• Performance: 20Gbps switching capacity, 14.88 Mpps forwarding rate
• Capacity: 8K MAC addresses, 10K jumbo frames, 4.1 Mbit packet buffer
• Size: 330 × 155 × 43.5 mm
• Weight: 1.69 kg

Key Features

8 × PoE+ ports with a 120W power budget, supporting PoE Extend mode up to 250 m, PD alive check, scheduled reboot, power scheduling, and usage monitoring. Includes CloudViewer remote monitoring, VLANs, QoS, link aggregation, IPv4/IPv6 management, advanced security features, and dual SFP fiber uplinks.

Technical Context

Designed for SMB and edge network deployments, the switch combines intelligent PoE management with remote monitoring and traffic prioritization. Fiber uplinks support long-distance backbone connections, while built-in device recovery functions reduce maintenance and downtime.

Installation Notes

Compact desktop metal enclosure (330 × 155 × 43.5 mm, 1.69 kg) with operating temperature of 0–50°C. Powered by 100–240V AC with up to 165W consumption and a single smart fan. Supports 100BASE-FX and 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP modules, includes ESD protection, status LEDs, reset button, console cable, power cord, and SFP dust caps.
