The Planet SGS-6310-48P6XR is a Layer 3 managed and stackable Gigabit switch featuring 48 PoE+ RJ45 ports with a total 740W power budget and 6 high-speed 1G/10G SFP+ uplink ports. Housed in a rugged 1U chassis, it delivers up to 216 Gbps switching capacity and 160.7 Mpps forwarding performance. The switch supports hardware stacking of up to eight units, sub-10 ms ERPS ring recovery, and advanced IPv4/IPv6 routing protocols, including static routing, RIP, and OSPF.
Supports 48 PoE+ ports with up to 30W per port and PoE scheduling for power management. Layer 3 features include IPv4/IPv6 routing, RIP, and OSPF, while hardware stacking supports up to 8 switches with fast ERPS recovery. Advanced capabilities include VLANs, link aggregation, multicast management, and IPv6 services. Security features include 802.1X, RADIUS/TACACS+, ACLs, DHCP Snooping, and IP Source Guard. Management is available through web, CLI, SNMP, SSH, TLS, and console interfaces, with SFP-DDM optical diagnostics support.
The SGS-6310 series is designed for enterprise networks requiring high-density PoE+ and 10G connectivity. It supports stacking of up to eight switches for centralized management, fast ERPS failover for network resilience, and hardware-based Layer 3 routing for high-performance operation. Advanced IPv6 support and PoE scheduling help improve network flexibility and energy efficiency.
The switch features a 1U rackmount chassis (440 × 300 × 44 mm) with dual cooling fans and operates in temperatures from 0°C to 50°C. It supports AC 100–240V input with optional 55V DC power for expanded PoE capacity and consumes up to 830W with PoE enabled. Hardware resources include 512MB DRAM, 16MB flash memory, a 16K MAC address table, 2K ARP entries, 2040 routing entries, 64 VLAN interfaces, and 1024 ACL rules. Stacking supports up to 8 compatible SGS-6310 switches using dedicated 10G SFP+ ports, while ERPS provides recovery times below 10 ms. The unit is TAA-compliant and certified to FCC Part 15 Class A and CE standards.
