The RJ45 copper port supports auto-MDI/MDI-X and 10/100/1000Mbps auto-negotiation over Cat5 STP up to 100m, with jumbo frame support up to 9K bytes.
The converter includes a DIP switch to enable or disable Link Fault Passthrough (LFP) with LLCF and LLR functions, propagating link failure status between copper and fibre ports to trigger failover in connected equipment. It also supports TS-1000 and IEEE 802.3ah OAM for remote loopback tests and failure indication without IP connectivity, with store-and-forward switching and flow control.
The compact unit (26 × 70 × 97 mm, 0.2kg) operates from 0–50°C with 5–95% RH and stores from -10–70°C, powered by a 5V/2A DC adapter (sold separately). It supports standalone use or installation into Planet MC-700, MC-1500, MC-1500R, or MC-1500R48 media chassis, with LED indicators for power, copper link/activity, and fiber link/activity.
