The ELK-M1KAM is a streamlined single-door access interface for M1 and M1EZ8 control panels that connects directly to the 4-wire keypad data bus. Designed as a cost-effective alternative to traditional keypad-and-reader setups, it features a built-in Form C relay for door strike management. The module includes supervised inputs for monitoring door status and Request to Exit (RTE) buttons, alongside three specialized outputs for signaling armed status, system readiness, and "door held open" alerts.
Replacing a standard keypad on the RS-485 bus, this module uses heavy-duty Form C relays to manage door strikes and low-current outputs for status and alarm signaling. It features four adjustable timers for exit and "door held open" functions, supported by an integrated hardware watchdog for maximum reliability.
Maximum number of access modules and keypads per system: 16. Connections via unpluggable screw terminals (16 position). Includes hardware pack with 4 screws, 2 resistors, a diode, plastic housing, and instructions.
Mounts in place of an M1 keypad on the RS-485 4-wire keypad data bus. Each M1KAM counts toward the maximum of 16 keypads/modules per system. Form C relay contacts compatible with most door lock devices regardless of voltage rating or style (AC or DC).
