The ELK-P212S is a supervised remote power supply/battery charger, providing a 12 VDC output with a total current of up to 2 amps. It monitors the AC power input and the rechargeable battery, and can report abnormal conditions to an ELKM1 control unit via the four-wire RS485 data bus. Relay outputs for AC and low battery allow 'stand-alone' operation with other controls (security, access and CCTV products, etc.). The P212S can be used to increase the capacity of a control or to power devices such as motion detectors, keypads, zone expanders, sirens and annunciators remotely.
