This is a dual-band WiFi mesh router designed for expandable, high-speed home or small office networking. It operates as a single unit but can be extended into a mesh network with additional compatible TRENDnet routers for broader coverage. The router features concurrent 2.4GHz (up to 400Mbps) and dual 5GHz (up to 867Mbps each) radios, along with a 2x2:2 MIMO configuration on both bands for improved data throughput and range. Wired connectivity is provided by one Gigabit WAN and one Gigabit LAN port, plus a USB 3.0 port for network storage.
The device supports modern networking standards including IPv6, beamforming for targeted signal strength, band steering to optimize client connections, and seamless roaming within the mesh. It includes comprehensive access control features such as WPA/WPA2 encryption, guest networks, parental controls, and firewall functions (NAT, SPI, DoS prevention).
