Product Overview
The Uniview NVR501-B-P-IQ Series is a 1U network video recorder family available in 4-channel and 8-channel PoE configurations. It supports Ultra 265, H.265, and H.264 recording, up to 16MP resolution, intelligent video analytics, ANR storage protection, and simultaneous HDMI/VGA display.
Integrated PoE interfaces provide plug-and-play connectivity for compatible IP cameras, while a SATA storage interface, cloud upgrades, and broad ONVIF/network protocol support simplify deployment and maintenance.

Technical Context
The recorder combines camera-side and NVR-side analytics. Depending on the connected cameras and selected model, it can process face events, license-plate and vehicle data, smart intrusion prevention, ultra-motion detection, people counting, traffic monitoring, and metadata searches. ANR technology helps recover missing recordings when network connectivity is interrupted.
Installation Notes
Install the recorder in a ventilated 1U equipment space and connect compatible cameras to the integrated PoE interfaces. The 4-channel version uses DC 48V/1.35A input, while the 8-channel version uses DC 52V/1.8A input. Operating temperature is -10°C to 50°C with up to 90% non-condensing humidity. Install a compatible SATA HDD separately and keep the operating environment below 40°C when using maximum-capacity drives.
