Vigitron’s Vi5001 is a single port media convertor that enables Ethernet signals to be transmitted over fiber optic cables. It enable UTP Ethernet to connect to fiber to meet long distance transmission requirement or where fiber is already installed. The use of SFP fiber modules results in compatibility with all major single and multimode fiber optic cables to achieve transmission distances depending on the cable and SFP. The Vi5001 also provides IEEE 802.3af/at PoE up to 30W to the connected IP camera when used with appropriate power supplies.
