The DP-HE1201 is a standalone video encoder that converts high-definition video from HDMI or VGA sources into IP video streams. It can accept video input from one HDMI and one VGA source and supports input resolutions of up to 4K UHD (3840 x 2160). The video is then encoded using H.265, H.264 or M-JPEG compression. A core feature is quadruple streaming, which allows up to four independent video streams to be generated simultaneously from a single source for different applications (e.g. recording, live viewing and mobile viewing). It also supports event triggers such as motion and audio detection. A USB Type-B port enables interaction with the source PC via remote mouse and keyboard control. The encoder connects via a Fast Ethernet (10/100BASE-T) port and can be powered by 12 V DC or Power over Ethernet (PoE, IEEE 802.3af). It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F) and up to 90% humidity, with a power consumption of around 11.4 W.
