The VX1824-V2 is a 24-bay network storage host with a 4U controller enclosure supporting JBOD, RAID 0/1/10/5/50/6, and Intelligent RAID Engine technology. The unit provides 5 × 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet interfaces standard, supports expansion modules up to 4 × 10GbE SFP+, and delivers 1024 Mbps recording bandwidth in IPSAN mode across 512 channels.

Technical Context

The VX1824-V2 is a carrier-class storage appliance for video surveillance. In IPSAN mode, it supports 512-channel recording at 1024 Mbps total bandwidth with simultaneous 51-channel playback at 102 Mbps. In Video Mode, it adds 512-channel forwarding at 1024 Mbps. The system includes pre-detection disk copying, link aggregation with dynamic failover, and environmental monitoring for CPU, network utilization, LUN/RAID access, voltage, and temperature. Three-dimensional linear expansion allows seamless LUN-based expansion via Mini SAS HD back-end interfaces.
