The camera is built around a 1/3-inch color Charge-Coupled Device image sensor, which delivers a horizontal resolution of 600 TV Lines. This resolution represents standard definition in the analog video domain. It is equipped with a fixed 2.8 mm lens, which provides a wide-angle field of view suitable for monitoring entryways or small rooms from a concealed position. For operation in varying lighting, it has a minimum illumination requirement of 1.0 Lux and includes standard analog camera processing features: Back Light Compensation to handle strong backlighting, Auto White Balance, and Automatic Gain Control to boost the signal in low light. The video is output as a standard 1.0 Vp-p composite video signal over a 75-ohm connection. The device is designed for indoor environments, with an operating temperature range of 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C). It is powered by a common 12VDC source and consumes a very low 1.5 watts of power, making it simple to integrate into existing analog systems or power with a small adapter.
